Central Park Part 4

The other day, I met up with my childhood friend, Sophia. We have been friends since I was in Primary 3. We decided to meet up at Central Park... So here we are again... hehehehehe....

This time, we went to different floor and explored different things...

Boys will always be boys.... hehehehehe..

The day before, Timmy asked me: "Mom, how do they make bread?"
I answered him: "They make bread from flour Tim, then shape it, and put it in the oven..." And Timmy got the chance to see the real thing! Thanks to BreadTalk. :)

We saw the machine of Yogulicious...6 different flavours...3 pushers...
Me: "Look at all the different flavours Tim...
And look 2 + 2 + 2 = 6 that's the same with 2 x 3 = 6.
3 + 3 + 3 = 9 that's the same with 3 x 3 = 9."

Timmy: "What's that Mommy?", while bending down to see the thing on the wall.
Me: "I don't know Tim..."

While we pass through Japanese restaurant,
Me: "Tim...do you see that conveyor belt? The food is moving...you get to choose which food you like and you can take it from the belt. They will then differentiate what you eat by the color of the plate. And let's see the route that the food travels..."
Timmy: "Why does the tables have holes Mom?"
Me: "So, they can put the pot there...underneath the table is the stove. Interesting isn't it?"

Lastly, we had fun and wonderful moments together.....

Central Park Part 3

Motor ride...
He was trying on the gas pedal...checking the size of the wheel...then ride off!

Timmy was counting the hose.....
We had a 'little' back to nature...

Central Park Part 2

Timmy was amazed and paid attention to the Voltage and Ampere of the electricity panel. He asked the staff there :"If the car goes, how much is the Volt and Ampere?" hahahaha...

When I got into this, Timmy asked me: "Mom, why is this tilted? How do we make it straight again?" Me: "Yes Tim, this is tilted because of my body weight. If you sit on the other side, it will be more balanced. That's why...hop on!"

Merry go round.....
I explained to Timmy that some of the horses can move and some can't.
Some are shorter, some are taller.
Timmy: "How does it move Mom?"
Me: "Look, there is a hole on the ceiling...that will cause the horse to move up and down.."
Timmy: Thinking.....Hm?
Me: "Do you wanna ride on the horse Tim?"
Timmy: still thinking "Mom, you mean the horse will go up to the ceiling? No, I don't wanna ride it."
Me: "No Tim, it won't go up to the ceiling...It will only go up and down by a little bit only...perhaps around this much."
Timmy: "Oh... How do they make the horse go Mom?"

He asked very interesting questions... hahahaha...

This is one of his favourite...his amazement at the automatic water tap.
He was playing with it over and over again.
Timmy: "This is cool Mom...I don't have to touch it! It turns on automatically. This is different with the one in our house."
Me: "hahahahaha."

Central Park Part 1

We visited Central Park...they are holding "Dora the Explorer" theme...and Timmy is one of Dora fans...so here we are...

Anyway...had lots of fun there...

When Timmy saw this he was looking at it and asked what is this for Mom?
Me: "It's to blow the wind for the bouncy ride. Come here and feel the wind...Can you feel it? "
Timmy: "Yes Mom..."
Me: "So the wind will go from this through the tunnel to there."
Timmy: "Oh...."
Me: "Come over here Tim and try to sit on it. It's bouncy....Feel it! It's bouncy because of the wind from the back." :)

On the way back home, Timmy pretended that he brought GPS with him.
We have 2 choices of way: either S.Parman or Taman Anggrek.
Me: "Let's take Taman Anggrek way Tim."
Tim: "Why not S.Parman Mom?"
Me: "Because there are so many bad people there, so it's not safe if I have to make a U turn at Grogol."
Tim: "It's OK Mom. Don't worry. I will protect you. I bring my GPS with me. The GPS can find the safe way home. Let's go to S.Parman."

Hahahaha...he wants to be my protector. Thanks Tim!

I Hate It!

I hate it when people speaks hurtful words....
and the fact that it comes from the people who is closest to you makes it hurt even more.

#$%!

Why do couple tends to take things for granted and never utter words of appreciation?
Tend to find the flaws?

Hey...marriage is made up by two people who is NOT perfect!

I really like the post by Leonny....Quoted below:

"Since this is a ‘relationship’ post, I thought it’d be timely to share some ‘relationship reminders’ for all couples out there too today (extracted from the family seminar we went to last month - ‘Christ, the Lord of my family’, by Rev. DR. Stephen Tong).

And here they are :

- RESPECT and APPRECIATE our spouse, because this is one key reason why two different individuals can love each other and be together for many many years

- Don’t expect too highly of your spouse, because he/she is not an angel, but a sinful human being

- Learn to FORGIVE and learn to willingly sacrifice for each other

- Balance in the family is derived from differences found between the husband and the wife

- Before one is married, he/she tends to view everything from a ‘ME’ point of view. But once one is married, he/she will start seeing things from a ‘How about you?’ perspective.

It sure takes TWO to work on a marriage.

And if you ask me, I’d say it sure needs a LOT of effort and sacrifice to make one’s marriage work."

when together, disagreements and conflicts are simply inevitable.

In our home, we have our share of heated arguments too.

When good intentions are misunderstood. Lack of communication is seen as lack of appreciation. An exchange of unkind tone of voice as a result of work pressure and daily stress.

Just like any other normal relationships, we have our moments of frustrations with each other.

Really, it’s only when we start talking openly, listening to the other person, resisting the urge to self-defend, swallowing own pride, apologising for one’s unwise move, that we can slowly come to a better understanding of each other.

When conflicts occur, hold your tongue and avoid saying hurtful words that you’ll only regret later. ‘Battles’ get resolved, but hurtful words uttered in a moment of anger may remain in the mind and heart of your spouse.

And I must say, in the end, when both parties are willing to work things out and build a strong marriage together, the seemingly negative experience can bring us closer as husband and wife. That is, when we better understand our spouse’s need and thoughts, and when we discover better ways of handling such conflicts in the future.

A Jia You from my friend Sisil

My best friend from Uni, Sisil, gave me a Jia You today!

It just felt so good....
Thank you Sil! :)) Big smile on my face... hehehehehe..

I guess life always brings with it its challenges...

Jia You!

Arghhhh.....I wish I have a day off

I really wish that I have a day off from cleaning house....from taking care of kid...

Ahhhhh...it's so stressful....I don't think that I can cope...

Timmy has not been pooping for 4 days now....Gosh...
He refused to poop and hold his poop everytime by clenching, closing his feet real tight, and hold till his face is red....

Gosh...

I've been trying to get him to drink Lactulose twice a day, and asked him to eat papaya. and today is the 4th day... I tried to put Glycerine Suppositoris in his but, but he refused. There is only the 2 of us at home and I have no power to push it on him. Tried talking to him nicely to cooperate, but it didn't work...

Oh....

I bought rujak today and asked him to eat the fruits, but he only ate a bit...
everytime I gave him food, he always took out the vegies, peas, carrots, etc and he only drinks little water everyday...

Oh oh oh...I don't know what else to do...

Hargh! Hargh! Felt like screaming my head off...
Help.............................!@#$$%%%^%^^&&&*

Not to mention to help teach him to write.....hold the pen the right way....to socialize.....bla bla bla....

Ohh.........

Does it hurt Mommy?

Timmy was very kind yesterday...

He accidentally bumped into me on my left ankle with his tricycle on the maximum speed. Gosh...it hurts! I was screaming "Auwwww....and somehow cried.."

Timmy came up to me and said: "Sorry Mom...it was accident...I just wanted to turn over."
Me: "Okay Tim...I know that you didn't mean it..."
Timmy: "Does it hurt Mom? Come...let me blow it" and he started blowing it... :)
Then said: "Oh, I know Mom... I will take the Trombobhop gel."

He then went upstairs to look for the gel, brought it down and applied it on me and blew it again.

So sweet....thank you Tim...
Love you! Smile!

Listening to Music

I just love listening to music...

It lifts up my heart, clears the head, enhance my mood...
It just seems like a privilege to have a nice quiet afternoon listening to my favorite oldies music... while writing on this blog... Smile....

Seize the day.....

What a Day!

Last Monday, I just felt so tired.

Cleaned the house in the morning...
then there was a handy-man who came to fix the leakage...
not long after there were the Terminix who came to fix the termites...

Decided to had lunch at Pizza Hut to relax a bit...
But it turned out that Timmy accidently broke the tomato ketchup and chili sauce bottle. Ohhhhh.....my oh my...

It's so embarassing that everybody was looking at us...

I got so uptight and tense...
Ended up scolding Timmy right there and then...

Felt bad afterwards...

At night, before bed, I read this book about how we should remain calm...
Ohh...it's just so hard to do....

I know that it's good to remain calm, but when I was so tired and tense...it's just seems like mission impossible...

Please help me God...to become a good mother for Timmy that you have trusted to us...Amen.

Swimming

We went for a swim the other day..

It had been raining the whole day and the sky cleared towards the afternoon, so we decided to hit the pool. The weather was nice and there were plenty of other kids around...

However, by the time we finished our shower, the rain poured down again...
Oh no! I didn't bring the umbrella and we walked to the pool. So we decided to wait till the rain stops.

Luckily there were two other families with kids who waited too, and one of the family dropped us home...Yippee! Thank you.... :)

By the time we arrived home, we were so hungry and ate fried rice.
Gobbled it up so quickly. hahahahaha...

House cleaning

I wonder how other mothers does it?
It's about the house cleaning....
Time flies when I cleaned my house...and suddenly it was afternoon..

Timmy tried to help me to clean the house, he wanted to mop the floor.
But apparently he wanted to wet the mop, which is obviously would be too wet and could cause slippery floor.

So, finally to make my job easier, I let him to watched Dora the Explorer while I did my cleaning.

I felt guilty for letting him watched the movie for so long.

What would you let your kids do while you do the house cleaning?

Timmy's hair cut

Timmy had a hair cut last Sunday...

His hair was getting long and I asked him whether he wanted to have a hair cut or not? He said "Not yet Mom...I will have my hair cut on 13 June."
Me: "Hm...why 13 June?"
Timmy: "Iya Mom..."
Me: Okay...

I don't know why he chose 13 June...I guess it's a date that came out of the blue...
hahahahaha....

The funny thing was that on 13 June morning, he told me: "Mom, I will have my hair cut today!"

But what I'm glad about is that he sat still at the hair dresser.
Didn't refuse when they had to put the apron cloth covering him...
And tried to hold his head still while the hair dresser shaved his head.

It's a big step improvement compared than all the previous hair cut...
He used to move his head around and ran to me, put his head on my chest when the hair dresser tried to shave his head...and I ended up with his hair all over me...

Timmy's first hair cut, he sat on my lap while the hair dresser tried to shave his hair....moved around a lot...and I gotta talk non stop to steer his attention away...

This time it was so much better....
I brought a story book with me, and just read it to him...

Yeay! Proud of you Tim!
Big improvement.

A Boy of His Word

This Sunday morning, Timmy woke me up..."Morning routineee....! Mom...wake up....It's the morning...see the sun is shining.... wake up mom..."
Me: Iya Tim...but I'm still sleeply."
Timmy: I will have a hair cut today Mom..."

(He promised me that he will have his hair cut on 13 June. It's the date that Timmy choose himself. Previously I asked him to have a hair cut, coz his hair is getting long...but he told me not yet...I want to have my hair cut on 13 June... I don't know why he choose 13 June. )

But apparently he remembered his promise.
He's a boy of his words. hahahahahaha...
Today, while he was having a hair cut, I read him a story... he really sat still this time. Big improvement compared than last time.

Happy...

Watermelon 3.42 kg vs Baby Timmy 3.3 kg

The other day, I bought watermelon, which weighs 3.42 kg.

I told Timmy: "Tim...do you know that when you were born, you weigh 3.3 kg...
this watermelon is 3.42 kg. It's about the same as you when you came out of my tummy. You were slightly lighter than this..."

Timmy: "Really?" Then he was thinking....

Not long after, I saw him putting the watermelon into a red plastic bag and he carried it upstairs into our room to weigh it...

As he climbed up the stairs...I could hear him saying: ugh...ugh....
must be heavy....:)

But I was busy running errands, so I just let him...

Not long after, he came back down and said: "Iya lho Mom...it's 3 kg..."

hahahahahaha...

Me: "Iya Tim, so the weighing machine at the supermarket is right ya...
When you came out, you were about that size, longer though... you were 50 cm...

Then I saw him thinking again.
At that moment, I thought that he's gonna bring the watermelon to his "Watch Me Grow" chart... to compare the height of the watermelon with 50 cm.....
but he didn't....hehehehehehe...

Smile Mommy

I was annoyed and uptight.....

After we finished dinner, I asked Timmy whether he would like to eat watermelon...
one of his favorite fruit...he said yes...

As I was cutting it in the kitchen with the big knife...he came approached me in his tricycle, and impatiently took one to eat it right there and then...

Spilled the watermelon water on the kitchen table, kitchen floor and on his tricycle... I tried to be patient with him then...and told him, "Tim, could you please wait and eat it on the table?" and he did...

But as he ate towards the end, he was getting full and started playing with it as he took the seeds out...poked the watermelon, squeezed the juice out, created a big mess on the dining table and around the floor...

Ants started to come....
Argh.... (I have to admit that I'm amazed at the ant's speed to detect food).
Gotta mopped the table, floor, cleaned the dishes and wiped his tricycle too.

While I was washing the dishes, Timmy said that he wanted to help mop the table.
Alright, fine... But....he added some more water on the table cloth...
Ahhh....wet

By the time we finish, we went upstairs and did our bedtime routine...
cleaned Timmy, coz his shirt was full of watermelon juice too..

I was asking him to brush his teeth, but instead of doing that, he 'cleaned' the bathroom wall... Ohhhhh....It's to the max.

I told him: If you want to do that...you have 10 minutes until 7.30pm.
(while I turned on the TV to cool myself down) hehehehehe..

Timmy came up to me and said: "Mom....smile...."
And he made a big smile on me...

I guess he sense that I'm being uptight... hahahahahahaha.

A Growing Up Boy

Timmy is growing up...

He can use the normal writing table with the normal chair.... Yeay!

I'm so happy when I see him write... :)) Big smile on my face.

Cooking Time

This morning, we played PlayDoh together...

Timmy pretended to cook something yummy for me...
Using purple playdoh, his favorite color, to make food.

First, he flattened it, then cut it into tiny cubes, put it in the pot, and then on the stove... Add some cooking oil (in his yes milk bottle)...he pretended that it is empty and needed refilling. Cut some cooking oil from Farmers Market brochure and refill it. hahahahaha..

I ordered "Bakmi Special GM" hehehehehe..
We had the 'order list' from Bakmi GM to enhance the play. hehehehe.

After it's cooked, Timmy added some parmesan cheese and said:
"Be careful Mom...it's still hot...you gotta wait...Blew it, spooned it and fed me."
hahahahaha...

So sweet...

Parkland

Timmy and I visited Parkland today...

It was afternoon around 4.00pm, the rain has stopped and I thought that it would be a wonderful moment to go for a picnic at Parkland...where we could sit at the gazebo, enjoying the breadtalk pizza while playing the card game together.

Timmy didn't seem to be eager to take a nap and tralala.....here we go.
Prepared dinner before we go and hop off to Parkland.

We had some nice shots there...
Timmy played pretend driving, he said: "I'm driving and I'll bring you around Mom.
What's the destination?" Me: "Hm...airport..." with me smiling...

After he has had enough driving, he wanted to see the waterfall.
He pretended to be the Map like in Dora the Explorer.
Timmy: "What do you have to do, when you don't know which way to go? Ask Map.... What's the way to the waterfall?" I'm the map...I'm the map...I'm the map...
This way Mom... I know...Vamonos...Let's go.

While we were enjoying the waterfall and taking pictures, the rain suddenly falls down heavily... Ah....

Timmy and I ran as fast as we could towards the gazebo, hand in hand...
I asked him to wait at the gazebo, while I ran to the car to get the umbrella.

By the time we arrived home, I asked him to stay in the car first, while I open the door and fetch him with the umbrella. He held on to me so tightly...
We all get wet... hahahahahaha...

Gave him another shower right after that...
Timmy took 3 times shower today. :)

But above all, it was fun!

Dora the Explorer

Timmy also loves Dora the Explorer.

While he's watching it, I get the time to do something else. hehehehhee...
Mutual benefits. :)

Pocoyo

Timmy has a new favorite movie.... Pocoyo!

A conversation with Timmy

In the morning as Timmy woke up, he heard the baby of our neighbor cried..
Timmy: "Mom, the baby is crying."
Me: "Yes, Tim. But you were good, because you didn't cry or whinge and you wait patiently as I prepared the food for you to bring to school and made your milk."
Timmy: "Yes Mom, coz I'm big now."
Me: "Yup Tim...This year you will be 5 years old."
Timmy: "So, I'll get the present from my friend."
Me: "Hm? Why do you say so?"
Timmy: "Iya...because if it is my friends' b'day, I give them a present. So if it's my birthday, they will give me a present too."

Oh...oh...

Electric Question

The other day Timmy asked me:
"Mom, if our house's electricity is 220 Volt; then what is the Watt?
I know that my bedside lamp is 60 Watt, my fan is 30 Watt.
How about the Watt for the house?"

He asked a very technical question that gets me thinking....

Duck's House

Timmy created a duck house today.

He imagined that the duck's house had rooms...where the little ducks room had fan; as he placed the little ducks under the the mill..

Then the round wheels became the dining table for the ducks...

He also created the garage to store the tricycle and duck's mommy would go to the market to buy grocery using the tricycle.

A Boy and Girl Day Out

Today is the last day of school for Timmy and his Kindergarten A classmates.

After school, we decided to head off to SMS.
Timmy requested to eat KFC...his favorite meals that he doesn't get to eat too often.
I offered him whether he wanted to try Wendy's?
Timmy: "No Mom, I want KFC. It's tastier...."

Having finished KFC, I showed Timmy the Cinema XXI.
He's never been there before, so I thought that today is the good opportunity to show him how it looks like... The Box Office...Refreshments....The Studio 1-6.
We had fun!

From the XXI window, we saw Audrea (Timmy's classmate) who was having lunch at KFC too. Audrea waved to Timmy and he waved back.

Timmy and Audrea then walked hand in hand...

Audrea's mom and I were smiling looking at them as we walked behind them.
We just found it so sweet.

When I wanted to take pictures, they ran away laughing, but still holding hands...
Timmy then brought Audrea to Axis...hahahahaha... I find this funny, because that's what normally Benny does to me... hahahaha..

We visited the hair accessories store and guess what while I was trying on a hair pin, Timmy took one and clipped it on Audrea's hair. hahahahahaa...

Then we head-off to Fuji Film. While we were waiting, the 2 kids had fun in the photo booth.

By the time we have to go home, Audrea didn't wanna go home....
We promised that the play-date will continue this Saturday...

Love from Timmy

Happy Parent's Day

Timmy's school held "Happy Parent's Day" event, where the kids were performing in front of the class. It was fun to see the kids...

And the parents got a heart and a red rose from the kids....
Lovely! It's a special pink heart whereby Timmy drew lots and lots of heart and wrote his name on it. :)

Timmy asked me to plant the red rose in our garden and I did.
hehehehe....

Pretend Pilot Play

Today, Timmy and I were playing pretend pilot play.

He got this box from his teacher as a 3rd winner gift.
Timmy then transformed it into a pretend airplane and put his chickens & duck in it as passenger and he's the pilot. :))

I tried to enhance the play by drawing a plane on the whiteboard and asked Timmy to draw the windows, the jet engine and the pilot window...

Timmy then said that there is air-conditioner in his 'plane', the brand is Panasonic, National and KDK. So, I wrote the words on the white board, but asked Timmy the beginning letter for each brand and got him to write it on the board.

Timmy pretended that his chickens were thirsty and asked them what drink do they want? "Apple Juice..." he said. (That was his favorite drink when he was in the real plane). hahahaha... Timmy then wrote the letter A and letter J.

He came up to the pretend Terminal number 23 in the airport. hahahahaha...

It was fun!
