Real Snails vs K'nex Snails

The Real Cement Mixer

Timmy had the chance to see the real cement mixer and how it works.

How the cement mixer mix the cement, pour it out, transfer it to the corr machine.

How the cement comes out at the other end through the long pipe, and how the worker evens it out and created the floor for the house.

Fun!

Gears and Cement Mixer.

Benny made a motorized cement mixer for Timmy with the K'nex.
Hence the cement mixer can turn, as if it is mixing a cement.

The other day, Benny made gears construction for Timmy to teach him how gears work. Big gears vs small gears. Big gears turn slow, small gears turn fast.

Timmy then asked his Dad for the gears to be motorized too.
Tim: Papa, can I have the motor for this gear too?
Benny: No Tim, Papa designed this for you to turn it manually. So you can see the movement. Just turn it with your hands. Papa has made the handle for you to turn it.

Then he was playing with it.
Not long after, he had a creative idea of connecting it to the cement mixer that his dad made for him. hahahaha...

Since the cement mixer was motorized, as a result, when it turns, the gears turn too. Hahahaha....

When I saw what he did, I quickly told Benny to come and see it.
Now, both are motorized, like how Timmy wish it to be. hehehehehe...

Creative Tim! Mom and Dad like it!
We love the idea of having a vision of what Timmy wants, thinking of a way to do it and executing it. Thumbs up for you Tim!

The happy expression of seeing it works.

Chicken House

After doing the numbers, we made the chicken house. hehehehehe..

Timmy said he made chicken's room, Timmy's room, Mom and Dad's room.
The house has 2 floors Mom.

Fond of Numbers

Timmy is a big fan of numbers.

The other day, I had an idea of creating numbers using this K'nex pieces.
We made the numbers like those on the calculator. Hehehehe...
He had lots of fun doing it.

Have Fun at School Mom

Last Friday, I told Timmy that I will be attending Seminar at his school on Saturday.

Saturday morning, as he woke up, he said:
"Have fun at school Mom."
"Mom, later when the teacher asked you to sit, you should sit like this Mom." (While he showed me how to sit).
"When the teacher asked you to do the paper work, you should do it quickly. First, you have to remember to write your name. OK Mom?"
"You will have a break at 9.15 Mom. What do you want to bring to school today?"
" And later, I will pick you up again ok."

Hahahahaha... he was so excited as he gets to change role with me.

Timmy's Little Finger

Timmy's little finger is almost as big as mine.
I'm surprised.

Benny said that by the time Timmy's grown up, his fingers will be bigger than Benny's.

The other day, Timmy did this finger stamp at school and I thought that this would be sweet as a memory. :)

Day 2: Bike Ride

This morning, Timmy woke up at 5.00 am. Unusual for him.

His first comment was: "Mom, why is it not tomorrow yet? The sky is still dark."
(Yesterday afternoon, we promised him that he could play the bike again tomorrow.)
Tim: "I still need to wait for 1 hour. 60 minutes till morning."

When the sky started to clear, Timmy said: "Mom, it's afternoon. Look at the sky. Soon it will be morning." hahahahaha..

Today, he said: "Mom, chicken also want to ride the bike. I will need a plastic to carry it. Can I bring chicken along Mom?"
Me: "Okay Tim."

At 6.00, he said: "6 o'clock. Wake up! He took the alarm clock and rang the bell. KRINGGGGGG KRINGGGGGG KRINGGGGG. Mom, Dad, wake up."

There we go, morning run with an excited boy! hahahaha...

Timmy's First Bike Ride

Today, Timmy had his first ever bike ride!

Previously we asked him whether he would like to have a bike? And he said no.
But being around in the neighborhood, Timmy saw lots of other kids riding bikes. Perhaps that triggers his interest.

Last week, my aunt handed me down my cousin's bike.
In the afternoon, Timmy asked me very nicely whether can we go to the bike store to fix the bike? And we did.

Here are the photos when we were in the bike shop.
He had fun exploring the dual seat bike, the all sorts of type of bike bells...

He tried the bike pump, press it and the wind comes out!

He noticed the digital scale which was hang high up above....pushed the chair right underneath it, climbed up, found the power button and started to test his pulling power...which was 9 kg. :)

Then he asked Benny and I to try to pull as well... :) hehehehe...

After the bike was fixed, he tried to ride on it at the store.

By the time we arrived our driveway, he tried it out straight away, didn't even get into the house anymore. Benny taught him how to get on the bike, how to press the brake, how to pedal....

At first, he always tried to pedal backwards...
But after a while, he got the hang of it!

He started to speed!
Even at the hilly area, he could speed already.

At first, I could walk beside him...
Then...fast walk...
Then I gotta run to keep up with him...
And then sprint!
On the first day!

Here's the video of Timmy's first bike ride:

In the beginning, he asked to go around the block for 3 times,
then another 3 times, then go further away towards the lake and around the neighborhood, then go around the blocks again.... I think in total, it would have been more than 10 times around the block.

Benny and I were running out of breath trying to catch up with him. hehehehe...

I was amazed actually that he could learn this fast.
Because when I was a girl, I was so scared to ride a bike...
I could only ride a bike when I was in Primary 4.

While Benny was sure that once Timmy got the hang of it, this boy will speed!
Boy he was right! Benny just wasn't sure whether Timmy would want to sit on the saddle on the first time. But as Timmy sat on the saddle at the bike store, Benny was certain that this boy will speed. hehehehe.....I guess man knows boy better. hahahaha...

And oh, Timmy did fall down today.
It was at the ramp, and Timmy was speeding...
He didn't press the brake...and hit the side of the road and fell down.
Cried a bit.....shocked....Benny asked him which part hurt? Here...pointed to his chin...grin..and smiled...and got up on his bike again and up and running!

BakKutu

Timmy created his "Secret Place" complete with stacked pillows, Chicken House, Cement Mixer, Dump Truck, and even pretend doors with his bolster.

So whenever he wanted to come in and out of his "Secret Place" he would tilt the bolster, pretending that is it opening. :)

Timmy refused to tidy up his so called "Secret Place", and I got so annoyed.
I told him "Tim, this is dirty if you doesn't allow us to clean it. Can you imagine how dirty it is underneath the pillow?"
Tim: But Mom.....
Me: Nanti banyak kutunya lho.
Tim: Apa itu kutu Mama? Cacing ya?
Me: Bukan.
Tim: Bakteri ya? Oh....BakKutu.

He invented the words BakKutu.
I was laughing, yet at the same time, annoyed.

Finally he allows us to clean it. Fiuh!
Now all the pillows are back on the bed. :) Yay!

Peek A Boo

Donal Bebek featuring Chicken's story

Recently Donal Bebek featured a story about chicken.

Being Donal Bebek and chicken lovers, Timmy was very excited when reading the story. The story was funny too. He was giggling as I read it.
(Even I was laughing then...) hehehehe...

He then started to copy the scenes from the story with his chickens and
loves to make the "Ptok..." sound. hahahaha...

Fish Tank

Over the weekend, Timmy had fun looking at the fish aquarium.
He was observing the mini water fall, the oxygen pipe, counting the fish...
Sat right next to the fish tank for some time. hehehehe...

Bumped

Timmy fell down 1 step on the stairs. Luckily it was on the turning, so he didn't fall any further.

Notice the bluish bruise on his chin.

Trapped

Timmy pretended that his chickens are trapped like in the story. hehehehe...
And Little chicken came to a rescue.
