Making Faces

Timmy was making faces.
At that time, one of his front teeth was still not in place, and his other milk teeth was still there.

Spending Time with Grandpa

I just love this photo...
Grandpa writing something for Timmy and Timmy with his big smiles... :))

Perhaps one day when we look back at this photo, Grandpa's hair will be all whites, and Timmy has grown up.... :))

Spa Music Relaxation With Piano Long Time Mix by Spavevo

Music...always calm my soul....

Feelings

We were reading books about feelings....

Followed by an activity of  hammering nails into Styrofoam.
Too often, we do not realize that our words have hurt other people's feelings...
Words can heal or words can wound....

And when bad words are uttered out from our mouth, we cannot pull it back.
We can say sorry for what we said, but the effect of that bad words will still be there...

We reinforced this activity, by hammering nails into the Styrofoam.
The nails that we hammered, are like those bad words...
We can pull the nails out, but the hole will still be there, after we pull the nails out...

Note to Timmy:
Mama hopes that you will remember this activity for the rest of your life...
Please be considerate to others....
Acknowledge people's feelings, as well as yours...

Speak words that are positive, supportive, kind and loving.
The kind of words that will make people feel energized, motivated and loved.

Love,
Mama

School

Reflecting back the school days...

It just seems like yesterday when Timmy attended the Kindergarten A.
Now he is in Primary 2...
Gee...Time flies....
I could still recall the mornings when he refused to go to school.

Here's the snap of photos, counting backwards....

This photo was taken when he was in Primary 1.
When he was being the "Class Leader" of the week.

This was the path that we walked everyday, when Timmy was in Kindergarten B.
We talked along the way, chit chatting....

...until we reached this turn, and Timmy refused to walk any further...
He just stood there, no matter how hard I tried to persuade him...

I tried everything, from talking to him nicely to power struggle...
And at that time, his power was quite strong already...
It was an embarrassing, tiring and stressful time for me....

This was the gate, where teachers would stand in front of the gate every morning to greet the children during his Kindergarten B.

This was the path that we walked when Timmy attended Kindergarten A.

And at this turn, Timmy would cry and refused to go to school,
because he knew that right after this turn, we reached the school gate.

This was the gate when Timmy was in Kindergarten A.
I was persuading him to walk from that turn above until we reached the school gate.

Getting him to enter the school gate was another matter.
He would hang in there, holding to the bars, crying...

The kids activities behind the bars...

And now those days are gone...
Timmy is now entering the school gate smoothly everyday....
