Taman Safari Indonesia

Among the busy days of our life, we visited Taman Safari Indonesia with its refreshing features at the setting of green tropical lush...

We had fun seeing the animals up close and personal.

I like Timmy's happy and excited expressions when the animals came near... hehehe...

That day, we saw elephants, hippopotamus, zebra, deers, tigers, leopard, bears, gibon, bison, orang-utan, ostrich, pelicans, alligator, owl, etc.
These were the hippopotamus when they immersed halfway in the water, and we saw how it came out of the water, and walked towards its breakfast, and ate it! Amazing!

Next were the elephants. They were having breakfast too!

Prima Resort, Cisarua

We stayed overnight at Prima Resort, Cisarua. The place is wonderful, located near Taman Safari, which made it convenient for us. The lay-out of every bungalow is country like, with the back balcony facing the lake. This place is excellent for a family getaway.

This was the bungalow that we stayed, B3.

The next morning, we had fun exploring the surrounding neighborhood. The sound of the waterfall provided the tranquility...

Along the way we found the huge spider, right at the center of its spiderweb.

And we saw the unusual tree with different types of leaves coming out from the same root.

To preserve the tree, the resort made a hole in the wall...

With Benny's family around, we experienced double enjoyment.
Timmy had fun playing with his cousin, Cynthia.
A rare opportunity, because she resides in Singapore.

The kids had fun playing together...

The photos were taken on 25 November 2010.

Dollars

Timmy drew me Dollars from all over the world.

Tim: "Mom, I'm giving you Dollars from a lot of countries." Then he wrote Singapore, Japan, India, China, Korea, Italy, Africa, Indonesia.
Me: Thanks Tim.

Luggage

When we travel, Timmy would pull his own luggage.

The photo was taken during our trip to Jogja, July 2010

Timmy was pushing the luggage along the road of San Francisco, February 2009.

I enjoyed drawing the luggage with Timmy. It was fun.
He commented: "Mom, we don't need to pull the luggage Mom. We can simply use remote control."

In his imagination, the luggage that he drew has the the following:
- Remote control,
- LED (Light Emiting Diode) near the puller, hence when it's dark, the LED will emit lights and brighten the way... hahaha..
That's why he even wrote the voltage under each luggage. (V stands for luggage)

Hahahahaha...Tim...Tim..

Guess what I draw?

One sunny afternoon, we played "Guess what I draw?"

Whatever Timmy drew was always car related. Hehehehehe...
When I drew stairs, he drew a car
When I drew a bird, he drew a car
When I drew a tree, he drew a car
When I drew a fan, he drew a car
When I drew a traffic light, he drew a car

He ended up drawing lots of cars, plus its RPM.

Timmy and the girls

Story 1:
Right after school today, 6 Dec 2010, as he came out of the school gate, Timmy ran as fast as he could, towards the end of the hall way, and waited there for us.

While he was sitting on the ladder, 2 Junior High School girls came and approached him, said: "Kenalan dong..."

Timmy quickly stood up and approached me.
The girls followed him and one of them was really interested in getting to know Timmy. Her name was Bella. Although her other boys friends were laughing at her, she didn't care. She did smile...

I told Timmy, it's okay to get to know cici Bella. Just simply tell her: Hi, I'm Timmy. But Timmy refused.

When we went towards our car, Bella touched Timmy's cheek.
--------------

Story 2:
We were at the Farmers Market, doing our grocery shopping, when Timmy bumped into his classmate, Jessi. She was much taller than him. The moment she saw him, she came up to him, rubbed both his cheeks, while said: "Kamu lucu banget siihhh..." Timmy quickly ran away.

Jessi's Mom and I were looking at each other...surprised.
Then her Mom said: "Hati hati lho, ntar anak gua minta diajarin sama anak eloe."
--------------------------

Story 3:
This happened when Timmy was in Kindergarten A (July 2009 - July 2010). I can't remember the exact date. Alena came out of the gate and her Mom was introducing me to her as Timmy's Mom. She then said that this is Timmy. Suddenly Alena kissed him on the cheek.

Alena's Mom and I were looking at each other....Hmmm?
--------------------------

Story 4:
The picture was taken when the kids had a day out together, back in May 2010.
Timmy & Audrea.

We went into the accessories store, while we were browsing, Timmy took a clip and clipped it on Audrea's hair. She got a long hair, while I got a short hair. No chance to try that on my hair. hehehehe...

Story 5:
This photo was taken during the school Family Sports Day.
Timmy & Gisa. They were moving the magnets together. Gisa took it from one place and gave it to Timmy, then Timmy pasted it on the new place. ;)

Timmy - Need for Speed

Today, Timmy told me: "Mom, do you want to learn how to play Need for Speed?"
Me: Why do you want me to learn Tim?
Tim: So, when Papa is not at home, you can play too. And we can win the prize.
Me: Oh...so you want me to learn and when Papa is not here, then I can play and we can win the prize?
Tim: Yes Mom....it's good right? So do you want to learn?
Me: Smiling...

The other day, right after school, Timmy refused to have lunch and bath.
He went straight upstairs, took out his singlet and got changed.
I knew that he wanted to play Need for Speed again.
He knew our daily routine...and when we reached the gate, I told him, you can play after you finish your lunch and had your bath.
But...instead, he went straight upstairs and got changed.
I went on with the consequences...No Need for Speed for today.
It set him off crying...

However, I needed to teach him about the consequences. Every action has consequences, so choose wisely. I hope next time you understand Tim.

He did comply to having lunch and bath afterwards, and my rule remained the same: No Need for Speed for today.

After bath, he told Benny the following:
Tim: Papa, kalo kamu mau main Need for Speed, main aja. Aku nonton aja. Tapi jangan kasih tau Mama. (Normally, he also just sit next to Benny and watch him play. Tricky boy!)
Benny: Eh...No. Kalo Mama udah bilang ngga, ya ngga.

Cars...Cars...Cars...

Playing Need for Speed has a high impact on Timmy.
Everything is about cars these days...running like cars, drawing cars, playing cars..even doing cars math exercise.

Cars with Leap Frog.

He lined up all the cars... What a long queue....

These are Timmy's birthday present, Lamborghini Murcielago and Mercedes CLK-GTR.

Ferrari California, a gift from Papa...

and Lamborghini Gallardo, father and son favorite car.

Benny and Timmy have been searching for Lamborghini Gallardo at the toy shop.
But they couldn't find it. Even when Benny went to Italy, he tried to find it, but to no avail.

Last weekend, while we went to Mall Kelapa Gading, they found this last piece of Lamborghini Gallardo. Timmy was the one who sorted it out. He recognized the car from the window and the shape. We were the ones who weren't sure about it. When we checked and flipped the car over, Timmy was right. It was Lamborghini Gallardo. Hehehehe...

And I like how Timmy arranged the chickens with the cars. hehehehe..

Playing Ball with the Neighbors.
