Playing Rush Hour

My brother gave me a board game called "Rush Hour".
The goal of the game is to let the red car out of the box, a midst the traffic jam.
We can clear the road block by moving the car up and down. But no lifting.
It is a fun thinking game.

Towards the end of the game, Timmy changed the rule of the game, whereby the container being the robber and the police needed to chase the robber.  He changed the red car into the black car.

Washing our Car

It was a fine afternoon and I asked Timmy to wash our car together.
and it ended up, Timmy's friend Nathan came for a help.

So, that day, I got a free car wash from the boys. hehehehe...
Thank you boys...

Favorite Time

My favorite time of the day is: when I lie-down on Timmy's bed, after I read the bed time stories to him, and snuggle up next to Timmy.

Ah...nice.

As Timmy drank his milk, I told him about my favorite time of the day.
And Timmy said: "hmm."

So I asked him: "Is bedtime your favorite time of the day too Timmy?"
He answered me: "No, Mom. Story time."

Today, Timmy purposely finished his game earlier, so he can have more stories. He requested me to read more than 3 stories for him.

And most of the time, I ended up falling asleep on Timmy's bed after the bed time stories. hahahahaha...

Paper Snowman

Frosty the snowman...was a jolly happy soul...

I like Christmas and I like this song...
so I thought of making  paper snowman with Timmy.
Took out the decorations, buttons, pom-poms, etc.

Timmy ended up decorating his snowman with numbers...

Here's the lyrics and the songs for you... Enjoy...

Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say,
He was made of snow but the children
Know how he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in that
Old silk hat they found.
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around.
O, Frosty the snowman
Was alive as he could be,
And the children say he could laugh
And play just the same as you and me.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.

Frosty the snowman knew
The sun was hot that day,
So he said, "Let's run and
We'll have some fun
Now before I melt away."
Down to the village,
With a broomstick in his hand,
Running here and there all
Around the square saying,
Catch me if you can.
He led them down the streets of town
Right to the traffic cop.
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler "Stop!"
For Frosty the snow man
Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye saying,
"Don't you cry,
I'll be back again some day."
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.

The Sun and The Earth

We were reading a book about the sun and the earth, how the earth circles the sun, etc. I thought of making it more fun...

4 January 2012

Therefore, we took out a ball and a torch.
The ball being the earth, and the torch being the sun.
So Timmy could see how the part of the earth that is day and night due to the sunlight .

Voila!

Playing Hopscotch

One fine afternoon, on 2 January 2012, Benny and Timmy were playing kicking and catching ball together.

I drew the hopscotch on the side of the road.
Started jumping it myself, then Benny and then Timmy. hahahaha....

I like Timmy's smiling face, while he was watching Papa did it.

Papa jumped....

Timmy, ready, set, go... "I want to try too."

Jump! Hop! Hop!

And I wanted to go again...

Jump! Hop! Hop!

This is my favourite photo, where I captured Timmy's jumping moments while Papa was watching.

Here's the summary photo of what we did that day!

We had fun together...
Simple, yet fun filled activity as a family...
Had a great day! Loving it.

Growing...

"Many times in our lives, obstacles will knock us down and make us feel weak.
These are opportunities to use that setback to become tougher. We grow most through our failures.
Learn from them, stand back up, and try not to get knocked down by the same thing.

The tougher you get, the bigger the obstacles you are able to face.
Once you can tackle bigger obstacles, you will see that you can pursue bigger dreams.
Once you start pursuing bigger dreams, you will realize just how much possibilities you have." ~ Naeem.
