Good Book

Oh, look what I found when I was browsing at Borders.

Drawing at Ibis Bencoolen, Singapore

Our room at Ibis was facing the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA).
Perhaps I should have taken Art as my University degree. Hahahahaha...

Well, that afternoon, I was enjoying a cup of coffee, facing NAFA and started drawing.

Singapore, July 2015

Visited Singapore again in July 2015
Yay!

The best part is because I can meet my best friend Sisilia!
It's always fun, fun, fun meeting her.

We stayed at Hotel Ibis Bencoolen, Bugis.
Perfect location because it is just within walking distance to Singapore National Library, Bugis, and Bras Basah Complex, where Sisilia brought me to Cat Socrates before.

So, with a map in hand, Timmy and I were off to the National Library.
The Library is huge and comfy.
How I wish I can access this kind of library in Serpong. Hahahaha.

Us at the National Library Singapore.

So happy to find Hardy Boys book.
At Marina Bay Sands.

The photo above was taken when were went for a walk from our hotel
at Ibis Bencoolen to Orchad Road.

One World Hotel, Malaysia

This school holiday, we are blessed that we can follow Benny on his business trip. Yay!
The hotel that we stay is called One World Hotel, located in the Selangor region.
It is interconnected with 1 Utama Mall, which is convenient for us.
Just within walking distance, and we can go to food court, supermarket and shopping mall.
And most importantly: Daiso. Hahahaha....
Cheap things are for sale at Daiso.

In our room 2014.

The swimming pool in the hotel.

The night view from our 20th floor room. Magnificent lights.
Shimmering, glittering like stars.

Right in front of Toys R Us at the Mall, there is this spinning chair.
We were looking at the kids who were trying it.
They were spinning and turning, we thought, why don't we give it a try?
It was fun! Hahaha...
A bit scary at first, but we got used to it.
If you look at the shape, it looks like a spinning top. Hehehe..

Drawing

We have a new hobby of drawing.
And it starts to influence Benny too.  Hahahaha...

Ever since I went to Cat Socrates with Sisilia, I have been intrigued by drawing.
During the last trip to Singapore, I went back to the book store to find more drawing books,
but to no avail.

Yesterday, we went to Borders.
I didn't expect that we would be there for long.
Just that the thought of Borders reminded me of my days in Melbourne.
Hahaha.
So we went in.

But, guess what?
We were there for hours. Hehehehe..
And we found so many awesome drawing books.
Yay! Hurray!

Here are our drawings that we learned from the book. :)
Flower: Iris tectorum

Dusun Bambu, Bandung

People have been talking about Dusun Bambu.
Finally we had the opportunity to check it out.
We had to park our car and ride a colorful mini bus to bring us to site.

We passed this beautiful green paddy field.

It is well known for this "bird nest" restaurant.
Cute isn't it?

One of the bird nest was designed to be toilet.
Timmy just had to try it out. Hahahaha..

Dusun Bambu provides lots and lots of beautiful colorful flowers.

and beautiful views...

Towards the back, there are playgrounds.
Turtles, riffles, rabbit feeding, trampoline, arrow shooting, clay, etc.

We tried the rabbit feeding. It was fun. Timmy's first time to feed the rabbit.

Look at these photos, the 4 rabbits seemed to kneel in front of Benny. Hahahaha...

Daddy's going in, we decided to stay outside the fence. Hehehe..

Timmy tried holding the riffle.

There is this huge lake and people can choose to ride a canoe, of that orange boat.

They provide this huge round platform by the lake.  Timmy was scared to go to the platform, fearing that it will sink. Benny challenged him to go down and walk around the brim of the platform. 10 steps. He finally did.

And in the end of training, they did this father and son pose.
Hahaha...
Lying down on the platform.
The lady in red in the distance, is my mother in law. hahaha

This time, the boy braved himself to put his feet on the brim, for the photo pose.
And did that cheeky face. hahahaha.

They sell plenty of food there.

On the way back, we decided to not ride the bus, but to walk among the paddy field.

Oh, this cute little white bird.
Kakak tua.
The bird can laugh:" Hahahahaha...and said Kakaktua.."

And we found bananas on the tree.
