Bloxera. 2019

We were playing Bloxera and joined a competition. 

Timmy build this Simpson using bloxera. 

Papa joined the built too.

Playing Lego

Like father like son, both have a fond hobby of playing Lego.
Hahahahaha...
They can bond together...

This is Timmy's creation, a tank. He made it himself out of his imagination, without looking any instruction on the book. There isn't any available for this tank. :)
The middle  round part of the tank is turnable, with the grey binocular, and the brown shoot.
At the back of the bank, there are 2 walkie talkies.
He was inspired by the National Geographic documenter series of World War 2.
Last night, he told me the type of this tank, but I forgot. :p
He said something about calliber 7.5, shooting rage of 1830 meter?
Aiyah...Mommy cannot remember such things. Hahahaha....

Lego Time

Timmy's Lego creation. 
He builds it from scratch without following any instruction.

Tim's Idea

Timmy's idea on how to prevent similar incident happening to MH 370.

1. Get the plane floating and contacting to the radar. 

2. At the height of 1000 meter above the sea, the plane will activate the super large parachute on its own. The pilot doesn't have to control these systems. 

3. At the height of 750 meter above sea level, the plane will take out super large inflated life saver with a motor to sea-transport using external fuel at the lifesaver. The lifesaver is equipped with Water Propeller with the speed of 100 KPH.

4. At the height of 500 meter above sea level, the plane will launch out the lifesaver.

5. When the lifesaver touch the sea, it will.settle a Plane-Pad for the plane to land.

6. When the plane lands on water safely, it will use its external radar to contact the HeadQuarters. The radar will contact the Head Quarter automatically.

Hahaha.

Sports Car

We saw this on the road, right next to our car, during traffic jam. Hehehe. 
Me: "Tim, look at that."
Tim: "Oh, Mom, that's Mclaren MP4 12C. The top speed is 386 km/hour."
Me: "How do you know all those things?"
Tim: "From Need for Speed Hot Pursuit."

I have no clues whatsoever on how did he recognize the type of those speedy cars just by looking at it. I guess boys will always be boys. Hahaha.

Build and Play

Earlier this month, I played this with Timmy.
We imagined that we are building the track for racing. :)
Timmy made the hurdle and the short cut.

Play Time - Junior Engineer

It's Saturday today and we had a chance to play together. 

Happy! Happy! Happy! 

We took out our toys and assembled lots of things.

Timmy made the cannon, ground tank, base camp, with the slide-able door, air force plane and an old type of navy ship.  

It has been ages since we last played these. 

I'm glad for the fun time we had.

Toy Cars vs Real Length

That night before we slept, Timmy was playing with his toy cars. I asked him to measure the length of his toy cars.  

He took out his ruler and measured it carefully.  10.5 cm, 11 cm, 10.5 cm.

At that moment, I thought "Ok, let's go to sleep now."  

Then, out of the blue, Timmy asked me: "Mom, so what is the length of this real car in the real world?"
He flipped over his cars and saw the comparison.  1:38, 1:43, 1:38.

Ok, he got me again.
I wasn't sure how to calculate the real length.
Me: "I think we need to multiply it, Tim.  You can ask Papa tomorrow. :)" Hehehe...

Well, I find it funny,  I asked him one thing and he expanded it further beyond my imagination.
Originally, I only wanted him to calculate and measure length.
Then...he gave me mathematical logical thinking questions, that gets me thinking.
That's my parts and parcel of parenting Timmy. Hehehe..

Junior Engineer

Playing with these toys together with Timmy creates  happy moments together.
We should do it more often.  

That day, we made several air planes, as you can see from the pictures above.
- the simple one (top right)
- the one with the red sticks (top left). This looks like the early edition of the real airplane, doesn't it?
- the one with full body (bottom right), we called it "biscuit stacks plane",
because the blue and yellow in between the orange does looks like biscuits to us. Hahaha...

- I forgot what the one is called already (bottom left).  Need-to-ask-Timmy-tomorrow.
(Oh, I'm not old yet, and my memory has failed me.) Hahahaha...
Well, it doesn't matter. As long as we had fun. Hehehe..

Helicopter

At this age (7), Timmy's favourite toy is  his drawing pad.
He just loves writing and drawing on it.

That morning, he drew a helicopter.
After finishing it, he imagined that he was flying it around. :)

Dad's Little Helper

This was taken sometime back in April 2012,
when Timmy became Dad's little helper in doing his project.
This boy really helped out inserting the little component.

Seeing House Building Process

Sometime last March, on the way to visit grandpa and grandma, 

we saw houses being built.  It was an interesting process...

because Timmy learnt it at school: what materials can be used to make roof, walls and grounds, 

and we got to see it live.... 

Another interesting point was we got to see the technique on how they carry / move the tiles from the ground to the roof top, real fast, without having to climb the ladder...  with the Pulley!

See that man on the top? Wow...so dangerous... 

The man on the ground, would load the things, and pulled it....

And see the man on the ground, he pulled it right across the road... and voila! The things are up!  

Compass

Timmy has been watching Pororo DVD and he loves it.
In one of the episodes, there was a scene where they find directions with compass and Timmy asked me to buy one for him and I refused.

Instead of buying one for him, I took out the brochure of our cluster and showed him that there is compass like direction too. North, South, East, West. Then asked him to find out where is the location of our house in the map.
Me: Tim, can you find out where is our house located in this map?
Tim: This one.
Me: How about the route that you go through when you ride your bike?
Tim: Here......with his fingers tracing down the route.
Me: How about the security gate? Where is it? Do you know?
Tim: Here.
Me: How about Andrew's house?
Tim: Here.
Me: Now, Tim, do you see this legend with the color? This correspond to the width of the house. See this is our house color, now do you know what's the width of our house? What about Andrew's house? What about David's house?

It was not until his dad came home and Benny thought that compass is good to get him thinking. That Benny bought it for him.

Now he hangs his compass around his neck whenever he goes out, rides a bike, even when we wanna go somewhere in a car. Tim...Tim...

Playing with Construction

During our daily life, we pass through so many construction work going on around our neighborhood. Last September 24th, 2010, we saw excavator, bulldozer, water tank on our way to the Estate office. We decided to stop and took a photo of it.

The bulldozer was on repair, and the security man even allowed us to sit inside it. We didn't do it in the end because Timmy didn't want to.



At home, we have the miniature of the construction toys. Took it all out and played with it. It became more interesting, because Timmy has seen the real big one.



On the back page of Donal Bebek, there was this illustration about construction. So Timmy learned about the piston and hydrolic in the equipment. Fun learning! :)











Few days later, at the toy store, we saw toy brick constructions too.
And we had another opportunity to see the real construction work going.
Plenty of dump trucks. Cool!

Junior Engineer

When the other kids are interested with toys or bom-bom car,
Timmy is interested in the electrical thing.
Looking at the voltage, ampere, and all those sort of things.

The Real Cement Mixer

Timmy had the chance to see the real cement mixer and how it works.

How the cement mixer mix the cement, pour it out, transfer it to the corr machine.

How the cement comes out at the other end through the long pipe, and how the worker evens it out and created the floor for the house.
