Pepper

Tim helped out in the kitchen.
Yay!

He was helping to squash the pepper.
Hahahaha.

I bought pepper powder and a lot of times they don't smell like pepper.
So, I decided to buy the ground black pepper in whole
and crushed it myself.

Thought of telling Timmy:
"Hey, you wanna see how pepper actually looks like?
It's not like those you usually see on the table."
I was crushing it 20-% through and it started to smell peppery. :)
"Do you wanna smell it Tim?"

Tim: "Can I do it Mom?"
Me: "Sure, why not?"

So, I assigned the crushing job to Timmy and I went off to do laundry.
By the time I came back, it was all crushed. Yay!
And the spill was minimum.

"I'm done, Mom."

Good job boy!
Thanks for your help.
I appreciate it!

Now we have good pepper for us to put on the next time we cook!
Yay!

Timmy and Darren

Timmy and his best friend, Darren.
Can't seem to get the right picture of Darren.
And it turns out to be funny if I put them in a sequence like this. Hahahaha.

The kids had their Komuni Pertama lessons, and it is compulsory to go to church during the period. :)
So, last weekend we went to church together.
By the time we came out, it was pouring rain...
and we didn't bring umbrella...

So we waited for a while...
thinking of running to the car...
but apparently the rain got bigger, we stopped by at the security..
borrowed their umbrella

...and went walking for dinner at the nearby restaurant, Flora.
It was a nice cozy place, I just found out.
Darren's Mom told me about it.

Saved by the bell...
Oops...not...
saved by the umbrella...
Hahahahaha..

Baby Shop

Last Sunday, we went for bed shopping for Timmy's upcoming cousin.

He was amazed at how little those clothes are.
I told him, you were that little too before.
He lifted it up and compared it to his body size.
Hahahahahaha...

Puzzled look? So small? Hahahaha..

Look at his jaw drop! Hahahahaha..
This tiny? He said

Puzzled. How can it be so tiny?

He's nearly as tall as me...
Up to my ears already..

Seafood soup Shabu Shabu

In the morning, after sending Timmy to school,
the other mothers asked me to go to the market with them.  So, I tagged along. Hahahaha...
Not intending to to the market at the beginning.

Once I was in the car, I just realised that I actually desperately needed to fill the fuel,
as it is empty until the light reminder is on.

Well, sampe ke pasar, ada aja yang dibeli. Hahahaha.
Akhirnya malah beli bakso sapi, bakso ikan, crab stick, etc.

And I met Sisil's sister, Ci Mimi that day. Hahahaha.
What a coincidence.

So, that night, I made Seafood soup shabu shabu.
Topped with Bon Cabe, dried chilli shaker, Level 10~ Pedas....

Dinner

Dinner...
What's for dinner?

What to cook?
Well, that's my daily challenge.
Hahahaha...

Yesterday, I cooked the saute pork chop with mixed vegies
and french fries.

It has the protein from the pork, greens and red from the vegetables, and carbohydrate from rice and potato. ;p

Simple dinner for the two of us. :)

Play Time ~ Kasti

It was a fine afternoon, amidst the rain that keeps on pouring these days.
He was whining about not being good at sports and the test is coming up.
So I said, why don't you go outside and practice?
Practice makes it better.

So, he did and here's the snapshots of him with the bat and ball. Hehehe..
Thanks to Daisho. hahahaha...

...and he was playing while being watched by the neighbour's girl Keisha.
Tim offered: "Do you want to try?"
She shook her head and continued watching.  Sometimes, she chased the ball too.

Not long after, another neighbourhood  girl came along, while blowing the bubble.
The bubble flew behind her, and Tim hit it with the bat.
We all laughed including Keisha. Hahahaha.

Then, the ball landed in the bushes. Hahahaha..
He used to whine about it.
This time, he braved himself and went in! Yay!
Good on you Tim!
You feel the fear and do it anyway!
Thumbs up for you, Tim. Keep up the good work.
...and he braved through the bushes. :) Thumbs up Tim.
You feel the fear and do it anyway! ;)

Moral of the story, Tim:
If you are not confident about anything, brave yourself.
Practice, practice, practice.
You will get better at it.
I am proud of you, and love you!

Hugs,
Mom.

Making Mango Pudding

He has been wanting to make this Mango Pudding.
So, finaly, we had the opportunity to make it last night.

The junior chef in our home in action. Hahahaha...

Celebrating my youngest brother's bday which falls on 1st Jan.

Gunung Tangkuban Perahu

The last time I visited Gunung Tangkuban Perahu was when I was a kid.
Here's the photo when I was a kid, when we could still from my shortest cousin to the tallest which was me at that time. Hahaha...
Now...I'm the shortest. Hahaha..
From left to right: Rudi, Herman, Andri, Hans, Helen.

The crater of Tangkuban Perahu

They sell this cute little trees on the bark.

Having fun sharing the corn.  Jagung Bakar. Hehehehe..

..and shared with Dad too. Hahaha..

The man played nice music with the Angklung.

And the boy watched.

The sulfur
This is the interesting "Batik Tree", they called it.
We saw the man cut out the bark and these 'batik' motif emerged.

Nice mountain view...
The layered mountain...
The lush greeneries....
God's greatness...

The lucky part was, we went to Mount Tangkuban Perahu on 29 December 2014,
and on 30th December 2014, the mountain was closed for visitors due to the seismic movement.
Lucky us that we have went and nothing happened when we were there.

Hotel Pesona Bamboe, Lembang.

Christmas is always the best time of the year.
The Christmas carols can be heard any where.
Christmas tree filled with ornaments...

The hotel where we stayed had this huge Christmas tree at their entrance.

We stayed at Hotel Pesona Bamboe, Lembang.
Cozy little hotel...
It's half the price than Sandalwood.
and we were surprised beyond the standard that we expected.

Father and Son

Timmy's up to Dad's shoulder...nearly..

The cute ants hanging on the wall.

They had balcony over-looking the pool.

And the choices of their breakfast is excellent.
They provide juices, ice coffee, hot tea, hot coffee, cakes, donuts, porridge, nasi goreng, mie goreng, eggs, chicken, sautee vegetable, salad, cereals, fruits.

The swimming pool.

What's more, there is a side door, leading straight to church.
Lembah Karmel 2.
Wow.... just within walking distance.
Here's the ants near that gate.

The boy had his "Courage Training" of crossing this sky bridge.
He was so scared at the beginning, forcing to be held.
I was cooing him, "you can do it", refusing to hold his hand, I am just next to you.
Until finally, he wanted to go by himself, and I just stood at the end of the bridge, taking photos. Hehehehe...

At the hotel lobby, they had this football table.
We played and had fun.

At first, it was Timmy against me.
Then Dad came along, so the boys team up against the girl.
2 vs 1
And I scored a lot of goals at the beginning, despite 2 against 1.
Hahahaha...
But I lost in the end. Hihihi..

This was taken on our check out day.
