Need for Speed

Benny was the one who introduced the boys game to Timmy. Need for Speed.
At the beginning, they were sitting next to each other, Benny played and Timmy watched.

In these photos, we could see Timmy's facial expression, of being excited and thrilled.
He even used his finger as the KmH speedometer arrow and put his little chicken in front of the monitor. hahahaha...

The game triggered Timmy's interest in cars...
He started to write the name of the cars on top of the paper, and drew the speedometer.
Upon finishing the drawing, he used his pencil as the arrow and started imagining... that he was driving the cars as the speed increased.

These drawings were taken on November 2010. When he was in Kindergarten (TK B).

When we were at the book store, we found this great book about Sports Car.
Timmy just sat nicely and read...
The book was great, it has the description of the cars, the top speed and when it was launched.

We found car exhibition, and they read the specification of the cars together, looked at the engine together, Timmy even peeped under the car.(see the top right photo) hahaha..

At home, we played cars too.

The next step, Timmy sat on Benny's lap as they both played.   Timmy became the co-driver and helped Benny to pressed the N2O nitro.
31 January 2011, ....Just love their big smiles...
March 2012, Timmy drove the car by himself.
Timmy the driver...

I did try to drive the car, and I bang the car to the left and right, didn't get anywhere, and got busted by the police. hahahahaha...

Water Cycle

What happen to the rain water that pours down our earth?
We found out by reading about the water cycle, together with Tigger and Pooh!
And we read about the animals that live in the water too.

These are the animals that live in the water, that we could buy from the supermarkets...

Then we added a little science experiments...
First I gave Timmy cotton bud, pretending it's the cloud.
A bowl with the bottom that is a bit higher than the sides, and of course...water!

We pretended that the clouds get heavy and it rained...
He then observed that the water would fall from the higher place to the lower place.

And he got more interested in squeezing the cotton balls.
We could see how his face light up from the first photo, to the second and the third with his bright smile.

 Then....Oops... I spilled the water.

Time to clean and tidy up, Tim...
Be responsible of your own action. Hehehehe... (Cheeky smile from Mommy).

Making Words with Ice Cream Sticks

We were playing in Timmy's room, and suddenly he had an idea to make words out of the ice cream sticks.

Here are the words that Timmy made:

BELAJAR

MAIN

Timmy and his Little Chickens

We don't have pet at home, as it will be too messy and troublesome to take care of it.
But Timmy has his little "pets".

One day, he was playing with it, made a house for it, and lined them up next to each other...
Here's how Timmy named them:
- Little chicken
- Mother chicken
- Father chicken
- Grandma chicken
- The turkey.
- Donald Duck
- Paman Gober
- Kwik

Hearts

What would you do when you have so many wooden colour pencil? Sometimes we need to sharpened them, and as a result, we have the wooden sharpener left-over.   Usually, I would just throw it away...

However, that day, I had an idea of turning it into something fun.
I thought, this pencil is just like us... We need to keep on sharpening ourself.

And there were so many colours of them, it just represented the colourful aspects of our life.
How we need to juggle between our roles in life...

First, we fold and cut the paper in half.

When we opened it, it form a huge heart shape. :)

We turned it into flower petals.

And so many of them...

Finally, I added the words that represents the quality that we need in life...
Patience, Loyalty, Kindness, Forgiveness, Caring, Passion, Loving, Wisdom, Honesty

Attending Sisil's Wedding

My best friend Sisil was getting married...
I was super excited, and we bought the ticket back in October the 3rd, 2011.

Sisil and I have been best friends since our university days at Monash.
We studied together at the library...whether it's National library or Monash library.
Library lovers... hahahaha...

Then when we were hungry, we bought the bread at Swanston Street (can't remember the bakery's name already.) hahahaha...
One day right before exams, we were talking over the phone about the subject, and my electricity went off!   That night, I stayed overnight at Sisil's place...
There was a day too when Sisil stayed overnight at my place, then we walked along the Yarra River the day after...

Oh...the days when we were young...

Sisil's wedding date fell nicely during the school holiday.
But towards the "The" day, Timmy was sick with the high fever, vomiting...
He told me touching words that day "Mama...I know that you are the best in the world. Without you, there will be nobody who takes care of me."

The Doctor told us that he normally does not prescribed Antibiotics.  But since we would be out of town, he told us to see how it goes, if Timmy haven't recovered yet, then he would need to drink the antibiotics.
When we were waiting at the Doctor...

And I were sick too, with red spots along my thigh and feet. We went to the doctor, and the doctor told me that I should come back next week.  Then we told the Doctor, that we will be out of town. Then the Doctor gave me the Medical Prescription for the next round.

Luckily, it all went well in the end...
We recovered, and we could attend Sisil's wedding.

We arrived Singapore, one day before her wedding. And it was Benny's turn of not feeling well.
Timmy was still in recovery too.
On the "The" day, I was nervous with Benny and Timmy being not well.
But yet, I really wanted to attend her wedding.
My mother in law even offered to accompany me to go.
In the end I decided to ride the public transport by myself.

I was very nervous that day, riding the public transport in an unfamiliar country.
Before we went, my brother in law opened the Google map and told me where to ride the bus, and where to stop and change to another bus. I kept looking out to make sure that I don't miss the stop. hahaha..
Luckily with Google map, we could see how the church looks like, and the vision of the street. So at least that helps.

I arrived the church 5 minutes before 3.00pm.
However, when I arrived, I stayed at the parking lot to inform Benny and the in-laws that I have arrived safely. Hahahaha...  Then I was looking around where the ceremony would be held.
I missed Sisil's church entrance...
Oh...she said that it was a very touching moment, as she walked down the aisle with her father.

Beautiful embellishment at the church

Right after the church, I went in a car with Alice, Ci Mimi, Ko Andrew, Ko Hamdani, and Stanley.
Alice and I were dropped off at Raffles Hotel.  And we were waiting in the hotel lobby.

When I went to the toilet, I saw the door that says: Courtyard.
I was curious, thinking would this door lead to a courtroom or something?
So, I opened the door, and apparently it leaded to a garden and... Gerald and Sisil were there!

I quickly ran back to the lobby to tell Alice about it... that I sneaked out through the toilet door and found the couple. Hahahaha..    But when we went there again, we couldn't find them.   Finally Alice called G and we went to their room.

That day I was very happy that I could attend Sisil's wedding...
I had the rare opportunity  to be with Sisil after the church ceremony...
and accompanied her for the make-up re-touch. It was so fun!

In the afternoon, I had the opportunity to walk around the Hotel, and saw Marina Bay Sands from a distance.

Luckily Benny and Timmy felt better that night and could attend the wedding dinner too.

Handy Manny

Handy Manny is one of Timmy's favourite cartoon on Disney Junior.

We had an opportunity to follow Benny to Glodok, and it was a fun trip, because we got to see the real things that they sell. The ones like in Handy Manny! Yay!

Look at these colourful hats... Isn't it cool? Just like the one that Manny wears.

Manny always has his tools...

and we saw the tools from the smallest to the biggest...

Here's the last one, Manny in action.

And when Timmy was in Singapore, he had an opportunity to ride on one of the tractor.  Yay!
