The Last Day of 2011

Time flies... and today is the last day of 2011.
Only a few hours left before the new year of 2012.

I could still remember getting the Happy New Year card from Sisil. :)

And the Album Donal Bebek 2011 cover.

This year Timmy has entered Primary 1, lost his baby teeth and we opened our Morning Chinese.

Wishing you all Happy New Year 2012!
May it be full of blessings and be a wonderful year ahead, filled with happiness, peace and joy.

Lego Creator

Being a fan of Lego, Benny bought this Lego Creator and introduced it to Timmy. They ended up playing it together.

It has been Benny's dream to have a son.
When I was pregnant, he said he wanted to have a son, so he can play Lego with him. hahaha...
And we got a son, Timmy...

Now when Timmy is 6 years old, they started playing Lego together.
Benny prepared the components needed for each step.
Timmy looked at the instruction and put the pieces in place.
Here is the photo when they played and installed the pieces together.

Visiting Lego City

Ho Ho Ho....
It's Christmas time at Lego City.
Santa Claus and the giant Lego snow man has come...

It's amazing how they can build detail structures with Lego.
Swimming competition with the spectators,
the light house with the light,
the bridge with Santa,
the restaurant...

Father and son having fun time together...

Well, Santa is taking his hat off..... Adios everyone!
See you again next year!

Our Christmas Tree

It's school holiday! To fill our time during this holiday, we made the decoration for our Christmas tree. It was simple and fun to make.

We made snowflakes, Christmas tree, and a snowman from ice cream craft sticks.

Then we hang it on our Christmas tree.

And under the tree, we put the Christmas card that we received from Sisil and Tari.

Merry Christmas everyone! May your days be filled with happiness, health, peace and joy.

Warmest Regards,
Benny, Helen and Timmy

Can I see Mom?

Today, I had a shower while Timmy was playing with his cars.
Suddenly, he opened the bathroom door, while I was washing my face.
Tim: "What are you doing Mom? Washing your face ya?"
Me: "Yup.   Please close the door Tim."

Then he went away and played with his cars again.
Not long after, he came back, stood in front of the door and said: "Mom, can I see you while you are having a shower?"
Me: "No Tim."
Tim: "Why Mom? I want to learn how to have a shower by myself."
Me: "Let Papa teach you  on how to have a shower by yourself."

He then went off and played again, only to come back not long after that.
By then, I have finished my shower and he asked me again: "Mom, why I am not allowed to see when you are showering? I am not a stranger."

Oh dear, I don't know how to answer this one....

Study...study...study....

Exam is around the corner....and I'm juggling between work and being a Mom.

This is Timmy's first final exam for Semester 1.
Gee...how I feel that time flies....
I could still remember clearly his first day of school...and now he is in Primary 1, doing his first final test...

Recently, I've been asking him to study.
And he commented: "Mom, you always say study...study...study.... Study is not fun. It only makes me smarter. Playing game is fun.  I like playing game."

Oh dear.....
I gotta think of new creative ways to make study FUN!
Any ideas, anyone?

Yesterday, when we went through the text book together, I told him, "Tim, why don't I read it?"
Tim: "Why do you want to read it Mom? It's my book and it's me who study.  Do you want to go back to Primary 1 again?  No right? So, let me read it."
Me: "hahahaha....okay."

Oscar Oasis

Oscar Oasis is showing on TV and Timmy loves to watch it.
He would laugh out loud during the chase...

One day, we went to Ace Hardware and Timmy found the trolley, which he imagined to be the trolley that Harchi pushes around. He pushed it around happily...

CHARACTERS
-Oscar - The main character of the show. He is a lizard that is always getting into trouble with the terrible trio – Popy, Buck, and Harchi, and the chickens too. Oscar is always trying to catch flies and find some water, but most of the time things don`t come out right.

-Popy - a fennec fox, the boss of the terrible trio, the one who gives the orders.

-Buck - a vulture, the nerd of the bunch, he always approves when Harchi gets yelled at by Popy.

-Harchi - a hyena, the idiot and the brawn, he’s given the physical jobs. In the event of them taking a collective tumble, it’s he who catches everyone so they avoid the ravine.

MINOR CHARACTERS
-Manolo - a truck driver who transports various items in the series. He is often asleep at the wheel while his dog, Roco, drives.

-Roco - Manolo's loyal and faithful dog. He always tries to keep their cargo safe and frequently chases Oscar and the terrible trio or tries to deter them from the contents of the moving vehicle.

-Oscar's girlfriend - a female lizard to whom Oscar's heart belongs.

-The Chickens - their half-closed eyes give them a nonchalant, blasé appearance. They fall blindly into the traps laid for them, and get out of them without realizing they have escaped any kind of danger.

-The Crocodiles - the most feared animals of the desert and the top predators.

-The Skunk - He doesn't smell good. He is always afraid of Oscar. But Popy, Harchi, and Buck are always afraid of him because of his smell.
