Butterflies

We bought these butterfly ornaments when we were at Jogja.

I thought of using this opportunity to explain to Timmy about the metamorphosis of a butterfly. How it transformed from eggs, to caterpillar to cocoon then butterfly.

How butterfly wings consist of 4 separate parts.

Then we started to draw butterflies together.
At first I started to draw butterflies, then Timmy wrote the numbers next to the butterflies that I drew. Finally he drew his own purple butterflies on the bottom right corner. :)

On another piece of paper, Timmy started to make the steps of drawing a butterfly.
I like how he made the step by step process.
Step 1: draw the oval body.
Step 2: draw the top right wing
Step 3: draw the bottom right wing.
Step 4: draw the top left wing.
Step 5: draw the bottom left wing.
Step 6: draw the antenna
Step 7: draw the eyes.
Tim: "So, there are 7 steps to draw butterfly Mama..."
Me: Smiling.

He then wrote his name, asked me to sign it and wrote my name for me.

However, before all those proses happened, Timmy made a mess with all the crayons, took out 3 packs of crayons, tear-off the paper that wrapped the crayons, pour them all on the table, then wiped them off to the floor....Really tested my patience...

He then gotta clean up the mess that he made. :) hehehehe...
