Angry Birds

Angry Birds are in...

We like playing the game, and I thought  "Hey...why don't we make it something real, that we can play at home?"

So, we started making it from scratch...

Here's what we did.
1. First, we crumpled the newspaper into several balls.   Then secure it with the sticky tape.

2. On a piece of white paper, we drew the outline of the Angry Bird that we wanted to make.

3. Started coloring it, then outline with the black crayon.

4. Cover the newspaper ball with the Angry Bird that we have drawn. Secure it with sticky tape.

5. Continue doing it, with the other Angry Birds character as desired.

6. Voila! We have the Angry Birds ready to play! Yay!

Timmy with his Angry Birds collection. :)

7. We set up the obstacle course, like in the game.

However, we made it into our version. Hehehehe..

 8. Attack!!!

Another troop is coming!

Happy playing!

The happy boy who managed to shoot the green Angry Bird. Hahahaha...

Dear Timmy, Here are your 6th birthday notes that we made together. :)
I had lots of fun playing with you and I hope you do too. :)

Timmy also made his own Angry Birds course of attack.
Had fun drawing it on a piece of paper...

This was when we were in a toy store.... Timmy pretended that he was the big red Angry Bird, and I became the piggy Angry Bird and the boy in the Angry Bird T-shirt attacked me... Arrgh! Hahaha...

And we spotted cool Angry Bird sticker on the MRT in Singapore.
Guess what, coincidentally that day, Timmy also wore his Angry Bird T-shirt.

Lots and lots of Angry Bird merchandise.

And the cool Angry Bird lights.

Growing Up

I was flipping through my photos collection and found this cute photo of Timmy when he was 2 months old, sleeping smilingly inside the baby carrier.

Then another photo of him when he has outgrown the bag, and refused to be photographed. Hahahaha...

Toilet Bowl

Spotted this photo.
The same toilet bowl...

We seldom use that bowl, and one day, I found Timmy climbed himself up and sat there. :)

Few years later, that exact same bowl...
but the boy has changed..

Slow Down Mommy

Slow Down Mommy, by Rebekah Knight

Slow down mummy, there is no need to rush,
slow down mummy, what is all the fuss?
slow down mummy, make yourself a cup of tea.
slow down mummy, come and spend some time with me.

Slow down mummy, let's put our boots on and go out for a walk,
let's kick piles of leaves, and smile and laugh and talk.
Slow down mummy, you look ever so tire,
come sit and snuggle under the duvet and rest with me a while.

Slow down mummy, those dirty dishes can wait,
slow down mummy, let's have some fun, let's bake a cake!
Slow down mummy, I know you work a lot,
but sometimes mummy, its nice when you just stop.

Sit with us a minute,
and listen to our day,
spend a cherished moment,
because our childhood is not here to stay!

I read the above poem and it really touched me right in my heart.
It is a gentle reminder to slow down and spend some time with Timmy everyday.

I flipped through our old photos together, and just realised how tiny and small he was.
It was just few years ago, and he has grown so much, in just few years time...
Oh... how time flies...

It reminded me again, to treasure these moments that I have with Timmy,
because childhood is not here to stay...

Look at how little and tiny he was in the photos below....

And this, he has outgrown his baby box. Hahahaha...

This is another growing up moments, captured.
I prayed and he prayed, looked at how he put his hands. :)

When we had our pirate play

And last, but not least, I really like this one.
Timmy is looking at Papa, and imitating him. Hehehehe... *Smile*
