Hm....it's from Yay to Hmph! again....
I'm upset....
Timmy was stuck at the gate again....
No!
I was very happy already on Monday that everything went well....
but yesterday and today, he was stuck at the gate again...
I wonder why?
Is it because of his lack of sleep?
He refused to take a nap in the afternoon, but we did just lie down on the bed.
At least he had some slow activity to wind down...
I am very annoyed and dissappointed.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Timmy told me that he miss me when he's at school.
This morning, we even read the book "Bubble goes to school".
But it didn't work.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better...

A Day with Timmy
I thought of writing this to remember this day as the sweet and sour day with Timmy, it would be a beautiful memory after he's grown up one day....
This morning I woke up early before Timmy did...
prepared the bread for him to bring to school...
not long after, Timmy woke up and the first word as he woke up was: "Mama".
Timmy's morning routine includes: milk right as he wakes up, pee in the toilet, tooth brushing, get cleaned & get dressed for school.
However, after he drank milk this morning, he threw up...
That's unusual...luckily as he felt uncomfortable, he ran straight to the closet...hence, no mess for me. (Thanks Tim) :)
I got him a drink and put some eucaliptus oil on his tummy and rubbed it to make him feel better.
He was very cooperative during rest of the morning routine, hence we still have some time left for fun before going to school.
The night before, I searched up You Tube and found "Xi Shua Shua" song. Timmy was so happy when I played this song for him, coz his teachers are using this song for their morning dance at school.
Time for breakfast...
Normally Timmy just has milk before school (as he will eat together with the rest of his friends in class).
However, since today his tummy was empty, I tried to get him to eat something before school. Bought bagelen bread the day before, but Timmy only took tiny bites of it. I was having Kellogs Corn Flakes with chocolate milk, and offered him some. Apparently he likes it! Yippee!
We had fun reading the story of how Dr. Kellogs accidently invented the Kellogs corn flakes which is now enjoyed by millions of people around the world.
As we reached the school gate, Timmy was very cooperative and brave today. Previously he would be stuck for some time, before entering the gate.
I have spent months of effort talking to him, and tried all sorts of methods to get him into school.
I hold his hand and told him that I will go through this with him. If he doesn't know the teachers who were standing in front of the gate, I will be there with him and let's introduce ourselves and asked them their names. That way, you'll know them already.... :)
At home, I also used the achievement charts, listed from Monday to Friday. Everytime he's good and brave, he'll get 1 stamp. Timmy is highly interested to have the outer space book. I told him that if he can collect 5 stamp for 5 days in a row, we'll go to the book store and buy it!
I have also tried all sorts of methods explaining to him why he should go to school.
Finally, it works!
Tralala, he entered the gate bravely and went up the stairs to his class room...
Towards midday, I had a nice surprise that Mom and my brother is around the neighbourhood. So, we picked Timmy up from school and headed to SMS for lunch. At the foodcourt, as we walked around, Timmy found KFC, and told me: "Mom, I have found what I wanna eat....my favorite". Hahahahaha...all of us ended up having KFC too. When we were kids, we used to love KFC...it's loved by generations...hahaha
Arriving home, I would bathe him, while he tried to 'clean' the bathroom...
putting water into his ex-shampoo bottle and sprayed it around on the wall. hehehe.
Then we did some drawing and writing together...
Time for an afternoon nap...
I thought that Timmy would have been tired by all of those activities, since he also had singing class today...but no...he didn't fall asleep as we lay down on the bed..
he kept on talking and talking and we ended up having a chat instead...hahahaha
Timmy put a pillow above my head, leaving some room for me to breathe, and then he came next to me and we chat under the pillow...hehehehe...
sweet...
Around 5 pm, I thought of asking him to play ball at the park next to our house.
Tried to improve his motoric skills...
At first, he was throwing and kicking the ball into the bushes...
I asked him to get it by himself as he did that...hehehe.
Then explained to him that if he does that it's difficult for us to get the ball.
It would be much for fun if we just kick it around the grass.
Finally he got the idea and we had fun...Tari, me and Timmy.
Throwing, kicking and catching the ball...for about half an hour..
Goolll....
Getting tired playing the ball, we ran towards the lake,
and Timmy did some 'gardening'. hehehehehe..
On the way home, he refused to get in and pointed the garden again.
He said: "Mom, look! The arrow is pointing this way... (i.e the garden)"
hehehehe...we played for another 15 minutes.
I've prepared dinner, spiral bolognaise pasta...
After we had our bedtime routine, as I was making the milk downstairs,
I overhead Timmy teaching his chickens...exactly the way I talked to him...
hahahaha...
We played another make-believe-pretend play...
Since they will be having 'Pajama's Day' on Thursday,
Timmy's little chicken will be going to school.
He was so excited telling his little chicken about school,
and I used this opportunity to play pretend, whereby his favourite little chicken would act like the way he was at the school gate and Timmy got to be the mother chicken...hehehehe...reverse role...
What I found funny was he used the words that I normally told him and told little chicken exactly as it is...hahahahaha...
Apparently what I told him is in his mind...
Just found it out today....hehehehe..

A chat with Timmy
One day Timmy asked me, "Mom, what happen after you have finished working?"
I was telling him about all the steps that he has to go through, from kindergarten till work.
3-6 years old: Kindergarten
6-12 years old: Primary school
12-15 years old: Junior High School
15-18 years old: Senior High School
18-21 years old: University
21 years old onwards: Work
Then Timmy came up with the question: "What happen after you finished work?"
I told him pension.
Timmy: What is pension Mom?
Me: Pension means that you don't work anymore, you can stay at home and do the things that you wanna do. Like grandma, she is not working anymore now.
Then I add another info, we normally work till the age of 65 years old.
Timmy: "Grandpa is 62 years old.
Grandma is 60 years old. But you said that working age is until 65 years old.
60 is less than 65. So, grandma should be working"
Me: I like your logic Tim! hehehehe.
But grandma is lucky. She has her sons, papa and uncle to support her, to give her money...so she doesn't have to work anymore.
Timmy: (hm...thinking)
I wanna be like that too Mom, when I grow up one day!
Give you and dad money!
Me: Smiling....

From Hmph! Hmph! to Yay!
The past few weeks, Timmy has been telling me that he doesn't wanna go to school.
That happened almost every morning.
He woke up fine, brushed teeth fine, getting dressed fine....
until we reached the school gate.
He would be stuck there for few minutes or so...
Resisting to get in the school.
There were some teachers who stand right in front of the gate to check the kids' temperature and give antiseptic to clean their hands.
Apparently, Timmy hated this ritual.
So...he refused to get in.
However, once he passed through the gate, he is a happy go lucky boy again.
Just the gate is the hurdle!
I asked the teachers how he is in the class room, the teachers said that he is alright and fine in the class.
Tried talking to Timmy and asked him why he would stuck in front of the gate.
He told me that he doesn't like the 'white white teachers' there.
Hmmmmm...
I tried all the methods...from talking to him calmly, explaining the reasons why he needs to go to school, reading books about school, making reward chart, talking and talking and talking, till getting angry.... Grrrr...
Finally today it works!
He passed through the gate smoothly, then wave good bye Mommy, go up the stairs by himself with his backpack on his shoulder.
There you go my boy!
Fiuh! Finally!

The Giant Egg Hunt
Summarecon Mall Serpong is hosting The Giant Easter Egg Hunt.
After school we took the Summarecon shuttle bus and visited SMS.
Got the flyerof the egg hunt, with the map at the back of it.
Timmy was so excited when he saw the map, studied it closely.
The first egg that we found was in front of Agis store.
Gotta count the sum of all the numbers on the egg.
Then we head off to the second egg.
Timmy studied the map again and walked to Gramedia.
As he saw Gramedia from a distance, he ran and shoted: "Mama, Gramedia!
That's the other egg!"
We still have some other eggs to hunt...till next time! :)) hehehehe...

Our new pet - Hermit Crab
We have our new pet: Hermit Crab!
Bought them at Carita Beach around 2 weeks ago.
As we walked along the sandy beach, there was this guy who was selling hermit crab. At that time, I only wanted to show Timmy the hermit crab.
The man got lots of them in the bucket.
Small ones and big ones.
It was funny to see how they crawl and come out of their shells.
When I put my hands in front of their eyes, they would hide into their shells.
After some time, my dad decided to buy 2 for Timmy.
Then here we go, our first pet!
My brothers used to have them when we were kids.
People used to sell it in front of our school.
They would tie match box with wheels behind the hermit crab shells,
and as they walk the hermit crab would pull these tiny version of cart.
However, when I was a girl, I was not attracted to this thing.
Not until now that we own them.
I love to see they eat and fascinated by it.
We have 2, the black one and the red one.
The black one is more active and eager to roam.
While the red one is less active.
When being put into the land, the black one will roam free and explore.
The red one crawl and hide under a leaf.
